Caspian Horse Assisted Psychotherapy

Eagala model - Eagala is a revolutionary mental health treatment model incorporating horses who are highly attuned and offer a safe space for clients to discover their answers within themselves.

Caspian Horse Assisted Therapy offers a treatment modality called Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) which is an experiential form of psychotherapy where horses are involved in the sessions. "Experiential" means that you will be involved in hands-on experiences with the horses designed to reflect things going on in your life. The process is not always about interacting with the treatment team, although that will happen at times. It is about giving you the opportunity to experience, explore, problem-solve, discover, be creative, gain insight and experience practical applications of what you are learning in the moment. The process is about "doing" along with the "talking." Widely used in America, this therapy is a collaboration between the client, therapist, an equine specialist and, most importantly, the horse or horses.

All sessions are on the ground and may take place in the field or in the arena depending on weather. We run male only, women only and mixed courses each year. The courses above are mixed, please let us know
if you want to go on the list for a gender specific course.
